  • why does it hurt so bad?
    ...written on 2002-08-03, @ 3:10 p.m.

And its going to be okay. . .

    and I'm going to be okay . . .

and he's going to be okay.

    Most definitely.

I watched "40 Days and 40 Nights" yesterday with Annie after I had dim sum with my relatives. Yawn. I just hate the fact that Thai people have nothing better to say than "Oh, you look better this year, but maybe you should lose some weight." . . . and people wonder why there is an over abundance of anorexic chicks in Bangkok?

So yeah. . . Josh Harnett? Grrr. Oh yeah, esp. with his shirt off?? OOHHHHHH Yeah.

Then Annie and I ran into Nok and two of her trains (she thanked us for helping her keep them from derailing and running into one another) . . . . yeah, so one of them was a younger kid in her school, and the other one was an older kid from her school.

Funny thing is, she still talks about Pat. (yeah the one I got married to)

And Annie told me that Pat is somewhat SO eccentric to a point that he decided to break up with Nok cuz' she asked for ketchup with her porkchops.

    *giggles*

Anyways . . . . Pippa didn't really remember Nok, but I think there was some sort of tension between them? Not sure.

Came home pretty early, and I was half heartedly expecting a call from the boy yesterday . . but I guess not. Does it hurt? You bet. But then . . . . I've decided to take this year in strides. . . . and so instead of going to the Thammasart graduation yesterday, I spent most of the day with my mother, and EVENTHOUGH today is Saturday . . . I've spent the entire day in my bedroom flipping through music videos and pictures and things.

Oh?! But I DID manage to get that particular pair of shoes that I've been eyeing since I got back to Bangkok - YAY!? 50% off too!?

    Oh god I love shoes.

    Mnfngh.

Going to go and watch "The Old Man and the Sea" at the Imax theater tonight with mom. Wanna go get the Norah Jones and Sophie Ellis Bextor cd. We'll see.

Other than that . . . Diana King's "Summertime" music video is quite painful to watch.

"I'd rather leave while i'm in love

while I still believe the meaning of the word

I'll keep my dreams and just pretend

that you and I are never gonna end

    Too many times I've seen

the rose die on the vine

    somebody's heart gets broken

    usually it's mine

I don't want to take the chance

    of being hurt again

    and you and I can't say good-bye

So if you wake and find me gone

oh baby carry you see I need my

fantasy I still believe it's best

to leave while I'm in love

    Too many times I've seen

the rose die on the vine

    somebody's heart gets broken usually

    It's mine I don't want to take

the chance of being hurt again

    and you and I can't say good-bye

So if you wake and find me gone

oh baby carry on you see I need my

fantasy I still believe it's best to

leave while I'm in love I still believe

It's best to leave while I'm in love"

Rita Coolidge's "I'd Rather Leave While I'm In Love"

And on a lighter note, I'm on Bangkok time, but it's still almost barely Friday in the US . . so here goes!

    1. What is your lineage? Where are your ancestors from?

Hrm, Thai, Chinese, I don't know what "Morn" is in English . . . and some other stuff.

    2. Of those countries, which would you most like to visit? Uh, China maybe?

    3. Which would you least like to visit? Why? I don't really know where "morn" people come from . . .

    4. Do you do anything during the year to celebrate or recognize your heritage? Uhm, I like Thai food and I guess I'm always saying that I've got to do stuff to get out of work (ha!)

    5. Who were the first ancestors to move to your present country (parents, grandparents, etc)? Hrm, does college count? My great grandparents went there, then moved back to Bangkok? Shit . . . I'm a really bad relative to be related to.

    just you & me
